Two injured in Horbury assault

Two men were taken to hospital after a serious assault in Horbury.

Police were called to reports of a fight at around 12.20am on Sunday on Cluntergate, outside the Shepherds Arms pub.

A 59-year-old man remains in Leeds General Infirmary with head injuries and a broken leg.

His condition is not thought to be life threatening.

A 51-year-old man was taken to Pinderfields Hospital but was not seriously injured.

Three men, aged 19, 23 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of assault and wounding.
