UPDATE: Arrest made in ‘cabbie’ sex attack
Detectives investigating an attempted serious sexual assault on a woman in Beeston yesterday morning have arrested a man.
The 29-year-old, from Leeds, was arrested this morning on suspicion of attempted rape in connection with the incident on the Ring Road at Beeston Park, near to the junction with Gipsy Lane, at about 6.30am yesterday (Sunday).
He is currently in custody.
The 23-year-old victim had been out for the night and got into what she believed was a taxi in the city centre.
