UPDATE: Buses diverted as police incident causes traffic chaos in Wakefield city centre

Travellers are being advised that the 128 and 130 outbound is being diverted via Horbury Road to the Lupset Hotel while services 117, 126, 7, 102, 114, 5, 443 and 4 are facing delays of up to 20 minutes.

Police have yet to confirm details of the incident but Quebec Street has been closed and two forensic tents have been put up nearby.

Motorists to find alternative routes as traffic is very heavy on both Westgate and Dewsbury Road.
