UPDATED: Men appear before magistrates over Beth Jones’ death

Two men have appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the M62 crash that killed Bethany Jones.

James Johnson, 63, from Wyke, Bradford, and Kevin Ollerhead, 44, from St Helens in Merseyside, were at Wakefield and Pontefract Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).

The pair spoke only to confirm their name and address. They were bailed to appear before Leeds Crown Court on Monday, February 3.

Beth, 18, of South Elmsall, died when the minibus she was travelling in and a lorry were involved in a collision on the M62 at junction 32, near Pontefract, on April 26, 2013.

Johnson was the driver of the minibus and Ollerhead was the driver of the lorry.
