VIDEO: Derelict town pub is finally demolished

A derelict pub has finally been bulldozed after sitting empty for almost four years.

The Early Bath, on Wheldon Road in Castleford, has been boarded up since November 2014.

The pub, which sits close to Castleford Tigers’ home ground, had fallen into disrepair.

Faye Noon, who runs Faye’s Sandwich Bar almost opposite the old pub was relieved to finally see it demolished.

She said: "I'm glad it's gone, it's definitely an eyesore and people were breaking into it.

"I had problems when it was open with underage drinkers and had my front window smashed so it was a relief it got closed down."
