VIDEO: Doncaster Road closed after accident involving pedestrian
Police were called to Doncaster Road at 1.10pm this afternoon (Wednesday) after reports of a collision between a pedestrian, believed to be a female, and a vehicle.
A police spokesperson said the pedestrian was taken to Leeds General Infirmary.

Hide AdEyewitnesses close to the scene outside Howarth Timber Ltd said a woman had been knocked down while crossing the road.
Officers have closed the road in both directions between the Sugar Lane junction and Denmark Street junction.
Police are at the scene controlling and diverting traffic, which is backed up along Doncaster Road and Chantry Bridge.
Wakefield Central neighbourhood police team (NPT) tweeted: “Please note that officers are dealing with an incident on Doncaster Road, due to this the road is closed.
“The traffic is building up so please avoid the area if you can. The road will be re-opened as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience."
