VIDEO UPDATE: Wildcats meet the players event cancelled due to Doncaster Road closure
The meet and greet members event was due to take place at the team's Belle Vue stadium at 7pm this evening (Wednesday).
More than 100 people were expected to attend.
But it has been called off on police advice, as Doncaster Road remains closed following an earlier collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Hide AdWildcats chairman Michael Carter said: "Tonight's meet and greet members' event has been cancelled on police advice due to the closure of Doncaster road.
"We ask that people keep their receipts as we will be looking to reschedule the event in January."
Motorists are still facing long delays as the road remains shut more than three hours after a woman was reportedly knocked down.
Police were called to Doncaster Road at 1.10pm this afternoon after reports of a collision between a pedestrian, believed to be a female, and a vehicle.

Hide AdA police spokesperson said the pedestrian was taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
Eyewitnesses close to the scene outside Howarth Timber Ltd said a woman had been knocked down while crossing the road.
Officers have closed the road in both directions between the Sugar Lane junction and Denmark Street junction.
Police are at the scene controlling and diverting traffic, which is backed up along Doncaster Road and Chantry Bridge.

Hide AdWakefield Central neighbourhood police team (NPT) tweeted: “Please note that officers are dealing with an incident on Doncaster Road, due to this the road is closed.
“The traffic is building up so please avoid the area if you can. The road will be re-opened as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience."
