Vigil held for M62 crash victim Bethany Jones

Hundreds of grieving family members and friends turned out on the streets of South Elmsall last night (Sun) to remember 18-year-old Bethany Jones who was killed in a minibus crash on the M62.

Around 500 people gathered on Doncaster Road, opposite the bus station, to light candles and pay tribute to the teen.

Tea lights were placed to spell her name.

Former St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School pupil Miss Jones was one of 21 women who was on a minibus heading to Liverpool on a hen party when it collided with a lorry, around 11.30am, on Friday.

Several of the women still remain in hospital receiving treatment.
