Wakefield Theatre lose £150,000

Theatre Royal Wakefield has lost almost £100,000 a year in funding from the Arts Council England.

The government-funded arts backer announced its funding plans for the next three years today, but two former regularly funded oragnisations, the theatre and Beam, have missed out.

Faceless, The Art House, The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park have all received funding until 2014/15.
