Colleagues Ken Glew and Ben Fieldhouse have raised hundreds for Prince of Wales Hospice with a gruelling 45-mile trek. The pair, who work together as builders, completed the Lakeland 3,000 walk, a 24-hour challenge to walk between Skiddaw, Helvellyn, Scafell and Scafell Pike, raising around £700.
Ken, 53, of Kirk Smeaton, and Ben, 26, of Chequerfield, did the Yorkshire Three Peaks last year for the hospice.
Ken said: “We wanted to do something a bit more challenging. It was a personal challenge for us but also we wanted to raise more money for the hospice.” Ken is pictured, front right and Ben back left, with their support team Michael Penistone, Rob Fieldhouse and Jonny Fieldhouse.
