The Met Office is warning of travel disruption and damage to buildings when the storm arrives later today, with loss of power likely in some areas.
The weather warning, which covers much of Yorkshire and the North West, will be in place between 1pm and 9pm today (Monday, June 15), and comes as non-essential shops are allowed to open for the first time in almost three months.
