Who are your heroes of 2011?

AS we move into the last part of the year we are once again asking for your help to tell us who have been Your Heroes of 2011.

We are looking for the many local stars across our district the people whose hard work, bravery, courage and generosity often goes unrewarded and unnoticed.

And it’s these people who we want to give a chance to shine.

But we will need you, our readers, to help make sure the amazing achievements of these people are rightly recognised, rewarded and celebrated in the third Express Your Heroes Awards.

We are looking for seven community heroes.

They should be the people who have touched your lives and may not even realise they have done so.

However major or minor their contribution maybe all our heroes need to be the people who make our area a better place to live and work. Maybe it is a friendly neighbour who looks out for others in the community or a teacher who has seen you through some difficult times?

Perhaps a lollipop person who braves all weather to make sure your children get safely to?
