Woman injured in Woolley pile-up

A woman was seriously injured in a three-car pile-up in Woolley.

The 39-year-old was taken to Leeds General Infirmary following the crash on Bramley Lane near to Woolley Low Moor Lane at around 7.10pm on Wednesday.

A Jaguar XF was left blocking the carriageway after colliding with a tree.

A Vauxhall Corsa, which the injured woman was in, was travelling down Bramley Lane when it hit the Jaguar before being struck from behind by a Vauxhall Vectra.

PC Nigel Fawcett-Jones, of protective services (operations), said: “We are continuing to investigate this collision and I would appeal to anyone who saw the incident or any of the vehicles involved beforehand to contact me on 01274 376639.”
