Gratitude for compassion

ON Saturday March 31 between 11am and 11.30am my husband Peter Foster collapsed at the bus stop outside KFC Glass Houghton after finishing work there at 11am.

Sadly my husband passed away on Thursday April 5. However, I would like to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to the lady and two teenagers who comforted Peter and helped assist the ambulance crew.

I have been unable to find out who you are, but if this was you then thank you.

My thanks go to Jackie and Gary, the ambulance crew who diverted their original journey and by chance were only passing but stopped to help. Also thanks to the staff at Pontefract A&E who were brilliant.

While Peter was in the intensive care unit at Pinderfields the nurses attending to his care and needs were fabulous. They upheld his dignity and continuously showed him respect and compassion.

Even during his final hours the care he received was extremely amazing. My family and I can’t thank all of you involved enough.
