Letter - Cas Tigers stadium development would be an ‘attractive destination’

The Castleford Tigers Supporters Club write this letter in full support of the Five Towns Park development which includes the new community stadium and the retail park.

Time has come to look forward to the future to preserve our club for future generations in a new community stadium which will be the pride of Castleford and the surrounding area.

We need a stadium that has the facilities to be used all year round by all the community and to generate extra income so the Tigers can compete at the top level for the future and beyond.

The Castleford Tigers fans also deserve a facility that caters for all and has no barriers to any fan.

The Five Towns Park development not only provides a much-needed community stadium but provides a retail park which will create 2000 permanent jobs, country park and major transport improvements.

Why should the population of the Five Towns have to travel outside of the district to shop, this proposal fully complements Xscape and Junction 32 and makes this area a very attractive destination.

The area badly needs investment and this development should be supported, we urge everyone to back this development.

The Castleford Tigers Supporters Club committee fully back the Five Towns Park development, we ask you to back it too.

With the planning application now submitted, it is vitally important that those who want to see this development come forward and make their voice heard to Wakefield Council.
