LAST week we had to endure a sustained period of severe wintry conditions.
It would be surprising if they did not have an impact on the A&E departments of Pontefract, Pinderfields and Dewsbury hospitals, throwing an additional burden on their staff as well as on those of the ambulance service.
In particular, what impact was there on Pinderfields and, perhaps Dewsbury, at night as a result of the continuing overnight closure of Pontefract’s A&E department?
It is of more than passing interest that facts are known. May we be given them please, by both the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and the West Yorkshire Ambulance Service?
