Team Ringside will have six local guys on the show with clubs coming from Sunderland, Newcastle, Northampton, Hull, Sheffield, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Leeds and Airedale to make a great night of boxing where there are scheduled to be 20 contests on the card.

First up for Ringside will be Joe Hunter, from Knottingley, who has just turned 11 and will be taking part in his first contest after having four skills contests last season were there were no decision. He faces Marko Varanuos, from Hull who is a nice little boxer only weighing 31kgs.

SYD boxer Ikey Fielding, from Garforth, who has only had two fights, winning one, has a stern test when he takes on Shakil Iqbal, from Leeds.

Eggbourgh’s Billy Baker, 13, won all his eight fights last season and won the prestigious Hull Box. He faces Jimmy Stevens, from Lampton Street Sunderland, who has won 16 out of 18 contests.

They have already met twice with Billy winning last season and Jimmy getting the nod in a close contest last week.

Casey Ponsonby, 14, from Knottingley, will be next up for Team Ringside. He had a great season last year, also winning the Hull Box Cup, and faces Northampton’s Myles Fletcher, a good boxer winning 16 fights out of 24, taking Team Ringside’s Kurt Jackson to the wire.
