Bresnan selected in World Twenty20 squad

CASTLEFORD all-rounder Tim Bresnan has been selected for the England cricket squad aiming to retain the World Twenty20 Cup in Sri Lanka next month.

The Townville cricketer was a key figure in England’s winning team last time round and has retained his place, despite losing his spot in the five-day side for the Third Test against South Africa that finished on Monday at Lord’s.

Bresnan will be joined by Yorkshire team-mate Jonny Bairstow in the Twenty20 tournament and both are also included in the squads for the forthcoming five-match one-day international series against South Africa and a three-match Twenty20 series against the Proteas.
