Castleford rugby league legend Bob Beardmore and Ian Gildart have been selected as the guests to conduct the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-final draw live on BBC Two at the DW Stadium on Saturday.
Beardmore scored a try and the winning drop-goal when Castleford beat Hull Kingston Rovers in the final 30 years ago at Wembley in 1986.
He was a worthy winner of the Lance Todd Trophy for his role in this game.
Playing nearly 300 games for the Yorkshire side, Beardmore was inducted into the Tigers Hall of Fame for his service to the club.
Gildart made over 200 career appearances for Wigan, Wakefield Trinity and Oldham. Part of the all-conquering Wigan side that dominated the 80s and 90s, he lifted the Challenge Cup trophy with his hometown club in 1990 when they beat Warrington 36-14. His 19-year-old son Oliver has followed in his footsteps and is now a regular in the Wigan Warriors side.
The BBC will broadcast the semi-final draw on BBC Two on Saturday June 25 following the completion of the quarter-final tie, Wigan Warriors v Castleford Tigers (5.30pm kick-off).
