Rain the winner as Bradford Cricket League is hit by bad weather again
Abandonments were the order of the day for Townville, Methley and Great Preston in the Gordon Rigg Bradford League.
For Townville it was a relief after they were skittled out for 67 by Hanging Heaton despite a battling 31 not out from opener Jonny Booth.
They were undone by David Stiff who took a hat-trick in his 5-33, although Heaton were struggling at 20-3 in their reply when the rain came.
Just seven overs were possible as Morley reached 12-2 against Methley in the Premier while only 17 overs were bowled as Crossbank Methodists reached 40-1 against Great Preston in Division Three.
Great Preston also had their scheduled Jack Hampshire Cup tie at home to Crossbank Methodists abandoned and it will now be played on Sunday, June 6.
The winners of this tie will travel to play Hopton Mills in the second round with the game due to take place on Sunday, June 13.
