Glasshoughton Welfare manager Norbury quits

Glasshoughton Welfare have announced this afternoon that manager Mick Norbury has resigned from his position at the club.

Former Football League man Norbury took the decision to call time on his tenure in a phone call to chairman Jon Miles on Sunday morning.

In total Norbury oversaw a total of 24 competitive games for the Leeds Road outfit, winning only four and drawing five.

The club would like to put on record their thanks to Norbury for his efforts during the past six months.

For the game at Hull United tomorrow evening Miles will join assistant manager Roley Lanes in the dug-out.

Welfare have decided to advertise the vacant post and persons interested should contact secretary Frank Maclachlan on with the closing date being Friday, December 4, 2015.
