Glasshoughton Welfare suffered a second successive heavy defeat as they went down 5-0 at home to mid-table Knaresborough Town in Division One.
After letting in five against promotion contenders Bottesford Town last week, they were soon on the road to another bad defeat as Fraser Lancaster put Knaresborough ahead after 11 minutes and added a second on 27.
Welfare managed to keep it to 2-0 to half-time, but any hopes of a comeback after the break were quashed as Lancaster completed his hat-trick within eight minutes of the restart.
Lancaster went on to add a fourth and Ben Joyce completed the scoring late on with Welfare unable to reply.
Glasshoughton are back on their travels this Saturday when they take on Teversal (3pm), who are four places and 13 points above them.
A date for Welfare’s fourth round League Cup tie has been set when they are away to Thackley or Eccleshill United on Thursday, April 7.
