Pontefract Collieries under 19s take the next step on their history making FA Youth Cup adventure next Monday when they aim to make it to the first round proper for the first time.
The youngsters have already gone further in the competition than any previous Pontefract youth team, having come through three rounds, and they have been rewarded with a home tie against Wrexham next Monday (kick-off 7pm).
A big crowd is expected at the Harratts Nissan Stadium to see the Colls team take on the youth side of the Welsh former Football League club.
A win would see Ponte go through to the first round proper when the current Football League clubs join the competition.
Colls manager Carl Brown is looking forward to the challenge. He said: “The lads are playing well, have a great spirit and are looking forward to the game against Wrexham.
“They are really focused right now.”
Everyone is welcome to the game, for which there is a small entrance charge, to get behind the Colls in one of the biggest games staged at their ground on Beechnut Lane. There is free parking and hot food and drinks are available.
Colls go into the game in great form as they remain unbeaten this season in all competitions, their latest win coming 7-3 against South Kirkby on Monday night. In the FA Youth Cup they have enjoyed victories against teams from Ossett and Tadcaster and last week beat Hall Road Rangers 4-1 to progress through the group and preliminary stages.
