Long serving striker Liam Radford has left Pontefract Collieries to join fellow Toolstation NCE Division One side Nostell MW.

Radford was made vice-captain earlier in the season, but has decided to change clubs following the change in management at Colls. Defender or midfielder Luke Forgione has also left the Pontefract club, joining first division strugglers Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.

Colls have signed Brad Kerr and Paul Sykes, but neither have been able to make their debut with the club not playing a game since December 5.

Ponte were again left kicking their heels last Saturday when their scheduled game at home to Brigg Town was postponed. That was their fifth game of 2016 called off and it has now been rearranged for Wednesday, March 2 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

They are hoping to get back into action tonight at home to Parkgate and are eager to start eating into their backlog of fixtures with 21 matches still to play in the Toolstation NCE Premier Division.

It means it is Saturday-midweek games almost all the way through to early March. This Saturday they face a tough test away to leaders Worksop Town before a home game against Maltby Main next Wednesday (7.45pm).
