Legendary duo join Featherstone Rovers Hall of Fame

FEATHERSTONE Rovers legends Keith Bridges (pictured) and Vince Farrar have been honoured by the club.

A dinner will be held in the Rovers clubhouse on Friday, July 25 (7.30) to inaugurate the two former packmen into the club's Hall of Fame.

Bridges signed for Rovers in 1970 and made 235 first-team appearances. He scored 45 tries and landed five goals and three drop goals for a total of 145 points.

Bridges was a Great Britain tourist and also represented Yorkshire and England. He played for Hull after leaving Rovers.

Signed in 1965, Farrar scored 61 tries in 310 Featherstone first-team appearances. He represented Yorkshire, Great Britain and GB under 24s.

He also played for Hull and had a spell with Australian club Cronulla.

Both players were members of Featherstone's 1973 Challenge Cup winning side and their 1977 league championship winnning team.

Some of their former team-mates will also attend the dinner and invitations have also been sent to all existing members of the Hall of Fame.
