Airedale Amateur Boxing Club enjoyed another successful night at Whitby with two of their senior boxers winning both their bouts.

First up was Jordan Crandidge (age 23, 68kg), who scored a unanimous victory against a determined Sajid Majeed, from Leeds.

Jordan dominated from the first bell behind a strong jab and remained in control of the fight throughout. He will now be hoping to maintain his winning streak when taking part in the Yorkshire Elite Championships next month.

Jordan’s success on the night was followed up by his stable mate Sam Holmes (24, 72kg), who marked his amateur debut in style with a second round TKO.

Sam had his opponent on the canvas in the opening minutes then twice more in the second round, marking the end to the fight and the start to a promising amateur career. He was awarded the best boxer of the night accolade.

Airedale ABC welcomes new members to join their junior, adult and ladies only classes. The club is seeking support from local businesses willing to help promote the club’s activities. More information can be found on Facebook at
