CASTLEFORD professional boxer Luke ‘Lionheart’ Robinson will be in action on Saturday, February 26.
He is fighting on a Mark Bateson 10-fight boxing show title ‘The Pride of Yorkshire’ which will be held in the Centenary Pavilion, Elland Road, Leeds. Doors open at 6pm and the boxing starts an hour later.
Robinson (pictured) hopes to fight Nottingham boxer Curtis Valentine in a re-match that was planned for last year but fell through because of problems over Valentine’s pro licence renewal.
Valentine inflicted Robinson’s solitary defeat as a professional fighter in November, 2009.
Robinson said: “I am focused on avenging my only defeat as a pro. However, if there is a change of opponent I will be ready for whoever is in the opposite corner.”

Pontefract boxer Sean ‘Short Fuse’ Hughes - the former Commonwealth and two-time British super bantamweight title challenger - will return to the ring after a 15-month lay-off at the same boxing show at Elland Road on February 26.
