The official jersey for the first ever Tour de Yorkshire has gone on sale.
Milltag, founded by Ed Cowburn and his business partner Pete Kelsey, has been creating designer cycling kit for five years.
They have collaborated with teams including Matrix Pro Cycling and the British professional women’s team, which has Laura Trott OBE among its riders.
The jersey is in the race’s signature blue colour with a yellow Y and is now available to buy.
Mr Cowburn said: “Being a proud Yorkshireman it is a dream come true that we have been able to work with ASO and Welcome to Yorkshire on these jerseys for the first ever Tour de Yorkshire.
“We took inspiration from the rich heritage of Yorkshire’s textile industry and used Welcome to Yorkshire’s iconic Y logo to create a series of individual patterns for each of the winner’s jerseys which appear on the shoulders and pockets.
“You could say that we’ve woven Yorkshire into every jersey.”
Milltag has also designed and manufactured four jerseys which will be awarded on the race podium.
They include jerseys for the overall race leader and the king of the mountain, which will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
The official event jersey is available in men’s and women’s sizes and costs £55.
