BAILEY Fisher has become the youngest ever player to win Castleford and District Snooker League’s handicap singles competition.

Eleven-year-old Bailey won a thrilling final to follow in the footsteps of his father Peter who won the title aged 12.

Bailey pipped Great Preston’s Richard Johnson in the final at Rockware Club, Knottingley, which was refereed by Mick Davenport. It was decided by the total scores over three frames and went down to the pink in the final frame.

It is a great season for the Fisher family.

Bailey’s twin brother Riley won the handicap doubles final with Bradley Burrows.

Bailey and Riley were both members of the Pontefract Cue Club G team that reached the team handicap final.

Their father Peter, a world snooker coach, will be playing in the league’s scratch singles and doubles finals in the next few weeks.
