Castleford Kings speedway team have completed their squad with two more signings.
They have recruited Falkirk-based rider Tommy Fenwick and Kings Lynn rider Adam Kirby.
The Kings will compete in the Midland Development League this season.
Team manager Peter Hibberd is leading a move to bring speedway back to Castleford for the first time for 32 years.
The club are trying to identify a site in the area which would be suitable to stage the sport locally. Until land is found, the Kings will share the stadium and facilities at Scunthorpe for staging home meetings.
Hibberd said: “Tommy Fenwick comes as a mainstream member of the line-up and he will hopefully race in the majority of our home meetings but, to be fair to him, I will bear his travel costs in mind before making a decision on which away fixtures we will use him for.
“The lad is very keen and a great prospect.”
Although Kirby’s commitments to King’s Lynn will take priority whenever there is a clash of fixtures, he is happy to ride for the re-formed Kings team. He is the tenth rider they have signed.
Hibberd believes the squad will give a good account of themselves whatever combination of four riders is put out.
He said: “We hope that, with the completed squad now in place, supporters will be further able to look forward to the battles ahead.”
