Featherstone sisters enjoy British weightlifting success
Youngsters representing Featherstone Weightlifting Club enjoyed success in the British Championships, which took place by video entry due to the covid restrictions
The club had two entrants in the under 10s team with Emily Jackson taking top spot in her category, recording a new personal best in both the snatch and clean & jerk as well as top on technique to secure gold.
Younger sister Olivia Jackson represented the club in her first British Championships and had fantastic results with personal bests in both snatch and clean & jerk to take bronze.
The Featherstone club hold children’s training on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 5pm with adults sessions from 6.30pm to 9pm.
