"I'm delighted to be back at Featherstone Rovers After spending 10 years here as a player, it is obviously a club that is close to my heart and I am really excited to be starting a new chapter as football manager," Hardman said.

"The club has put a high quality playing squad together and have made a great start to the season. I am looking forward to working closely with James, Martin and Mark to ensure the 2021 season will be one to remember for the town of Featherstone and our many loyal supporters."

Rovers CEO, Martin Vickers added: "When I first joined the club I talked about the club needing to lift to another level in creating an environment that is ready to compete for a place in Super league.

"We firmly believe that Ian is an astute off-field signing who will support James in ensuring that the team is fully equipped to meet these challenges.

"Ian understands the club intimately with his own rich history at the club, and we are really pleased that he has joined the team."
