The result means Rovers have won both of their Championship fixtures in 2021 and are only one of four sides with a 100 per cent record after two rounds of action.

The visitors led 26-0 at half time thanks to tries from Gareth Gale, Tom Holmes, Thomas Minns, Brad Day and John Davies.

“I was really pleased how composed we were in the first 40 minutes," said Webster.

"Swinton more than any team within the Championship have the ability to stretch you from anywhere on the pitch.

“We focused hard on having the ability to identify Swinton shape to have the best chance of dealing with their various threats.”

A double from Ben Blackmore in the second-half kept Swinton, who responded through a Mitch Cox try, out of reach.

Fa'amanu Brown kicked four conversions as Featherstone continued their perfect start to the campaign.

Webster added: “Our second half while frustrating at times gave ourselves a good realisation that we still have some way to go to get where we want to be but today was a great step forward.

"It was great to see both John Davies and Thomas Minns gets some time. They both add a lot to our side”

Rovers return to action on Sunday when they host Whitehaven at Post Office Road.
