It was also the 13th event in the Wakefield Harriers Senior Runners Distance League.
Mark Bostock was close to his best with the superb time of 30:42, topping the club rankings for 2022 and Daniel Franks was just three seconds off his personal best with his fast time of 31:43.

Hide AdM45 runner Stewart Knowles became the 11th Harrier this year to break the 35 minutes barrier, with his time of 34:43 and his extended family all did well too.
Sister Angela was close to her club F50 record with 42:20 and niece Charlotte broke 40 minutes for the first time with 39:22.
Another to run a fine new personal best was M50 runer Phil Ambler with 38:31 while Ashley Crow had a good run to record a 35:33 time.

Hide AdWakefield Harriers had several teams competing at the Northern Athletics Cross Country Relays at Graves Park, Sheffield.
The Junior Jets were out in force, which was great to see, with no fewer than three teams in the U11 Boys race.
The 'A' team of Tommy Hastings, Sydney Swan and Cade McAndrew did exceptionally well to finish in sixth place and first team home from the Yorkshire clubs.
The 'B' team of Ethan Ford, Lochlan Ruddock and Oliver Smith were also well up, finishing tenth.

Hide AdThe 'C' team of Oliver Hastings, Tommy Rudd and Harry Beck were 16th.
In the U11 Girls race Erian Clark, Isobel Powell and Jessica Gilbert came home as the 21st finishers in their team event.
The U15 Girls team of Rosie Thistlewood, Jessica Watson and Libby Cree did well to finish in a very competitive eighth place in their event, with Rosie recording the eighth best time of the day.
The Senior Ladies team of Helen Beck, Georgina Yoh and Joanne Biltcliff were 35th and the Senior Men’s team of Steve Lowe, Andrew Teasdale, Liam O'Flaherty and Chris Ward were 37th.

Hide AdDiane Simmons, meanwhile, is the latest veteran runner to record a Harriers club age group best on the roads.
She ran a new F60 half marathon club record of two hours, six minutes and 29 seconds in the Great Eastern Run Half Marathon at Peterborough.
