Castleford’s unbeaten cruiserweight Nathan “The Outlaw” Owens is preparing to take on a full line-up of some of the best fighters in the country in the next Prizefighter eight man tournament.
The Prizefighter lll will be held at the UK’s Mecca of boxing, York Hall. Bethnal Green, London on Saturday, May 18 and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
“The cruiserweight division is wide open right now and the winner is going to put themselves right in contention for major title honours,” said promoter Eddie Hearn.
Owens’ manager/ trainer Keith Walker said: “Nathan’s fully prepared and in magnificent condition to face whatever and whoever. The Prizefighter tournament brings all out action, drama over a three hour period. It’s like the Grand National and X-Factor all rolled into one night.
“It’s a massive stage to showcase his skills, heart and determination. I believe my fighter is ready and will be victorious.”
Owens added: “Over the last six weeks I’ve faced more challenges and adversity than any other time in my life so far. I will put everything I have into this fight.
