Castleford Tigers have confirmed that winger Justin Carney will join Salford Red Devils for the 2016 season on a one year loan agreement.
The club will not make any further comment at this time, but the Australian, who has averaged more than a try a game since joining Castleford in 2013, will spend next season with the Red Devils.
Carney signed a five-year Castleford deal only last year, but was briefly suspended towards the end of the season pending the results of a club investigation, before being reinstated at the end of September.
Salford head coach Ian Watson told his club website: “There are few stronger players in the League than Justin Carney and we are really looking forward to working with him and getting him on track with our philosophy and goals here this season.
“Justin is an immense athlete with a strike rate that is up there with the best in the world. He is exciting to watch and our fans are going to enjoy watching him run at defences week in week out.”
