Castleford Tigers boss Daryl Powell expects the Mend-A-Hose Jungle to be “buzzing” on Sunday with the visit of Hull KR.
After a disappointing crowd of below 6,000 for the Widnes game last weekend, Cas are hoping for a better turn out as they look to do the double over their old rivals from East Yorkshire.
And with Rovers fans usually travelling in large numbers head coach Powell is predicting a terrific atmosphere for the game which signals the start of the second half of the First Utility Super League season.
He said: “Last week’s crowd was a little bit lower than expected, but it was a Bank Holiday and hopefully people will come back from their break, if that’s what the case was, and make our turn out an outstanding one again.
“The Hull teams are always well supported, they love their rugby league over there, and they usually get away in numbers so it should be a great atmosphere.
“Hopefully it will be buzzing like it was when we played Hull FC earlier in the season.
“I think it will be a great crowd and hopefully we can reward our fans with another excellent performance.”
