Castleford Tigers star Lee Jewitt has thanked the club’s fans for the support they have shown to him and his family, particularly in last Thursday’s Super League game against St Helens at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.
While Lee and wife Rebecca remain with their premature baby twins, Lee wanted to let fans all know how much the support means.
Lee and Rebecca have been truly touched by the hundreds of well wishes they have received, not only from Castleford Tigers fans, but from people right across the Rugby League family.
Lee said: “My wife Rebecca and I cannot thank the Castleford Tigers family enough for all the support we are receiving.
“We are just a normal family who’ve been chosen to face this fight in our lives, but having you all right behind us is providing a great support to us.
“Isobella and Oscar (Lee’s older children) really enjoyed the game on Thursday night and we are so grateful for the 14th minute applause. This is something I will never forget.
“Castleford Tigers is not just where I work, it is part of my family.
“I’d like to personally thank Powelly and the board for all their support and of course my team-mates, the boys have been in touch with me all personally every day offering their support.
“Once again thank you all and please keep praying for Noah and Oliver.”
