Castleford Tigers has joined forces with local bus company Arriva Yorkshire ahead of the 2014 season.

Arriva will sponsor Tigers player Kirk Dixon for the coming season and to celebrate the partnership Kirk jumped on board Arriva’s Castleford buses and took to the road meeting bus passengers and letting them all know how excited the team are with the new First Utility Super League season about to kick-off this weekend.

Arriva Castleford Depot has been making big improvements in service provision over the past year as well as big investments in new hybrid buses operating exclusively on the 163/166 Castleford - Kippax - Garforth - Cross Gates - Leeds route.

Nigel Featham, regional managing director for Arriva Yorkshire, said: “Last year we invested in 12 brand new hybrid buses for Castleford. This investment is great news for our customers.

Working in partnership with Castleford Tigers is a perfect fit for us, with both our companies aiming to grow and have a successful year. Many of our Castleford depot team are Cas and proud and will be cheering on Kirk and the boys.”
