Castleford Tigers player Weller Hauraki will appear before an RFL Operational Rules Tribunal this evening charged with Grade A punching in the 31st minute of the Super League Round 27 fixture against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Sunday.

Wakefield’s Ben Cockayne has submitted an Early Guilty Plea to a Grade A charge of punching in the same incident and loses the right to submit an EGP for 12 months.

Both players were charged after the incident was viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, which also issued a formal caution to Jason Netherton, of Hull Kingston Rovers, for making dangerous contact with London Broncos’ Erjon Dollapi in the 63rd minute of a Super League Round 27 fixture.
