Castleford Tigers Trust and Castleford Tigers Supporters Club are running two special events on Tuesday, September 8 to celebrate the club’s rich heritage.
The Tigers Trust are hosting a free drop-in event at the Tiger Bar from 5.30 to 7.30pm at which fans can hear about different volunteer roles for the Castleford Tigers Community Heritage project and how they can help the trust to build a new virtual heritage museum.
Castleford Tigers Supporters Club is also giving fans a chance to be part of a great night of Cas heritage at the WSTS Suite, at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle from 7.45pm.
CTSC is asking fans, club staff, players and ex-players to bring something to the event that has a story to tell related to the Castleford Tigers.
CTSC secretary Paul Burns-Williamson explained: “The item can be anything at all. We will then let the individual tell the story to the audience or if too shy we will say a few words about the item for them.
“It would be great to have staff, current, ex-players, along with fans talking about an item that means a lot to them.
“I have also contacted Katie Irwin, from RL Cares, who has agreed to help out and have asked her to bring something Castleford related from the RL archive at Huddersfield University.”
Admission is £1 for members, £3 non-members.
