Castleford Tigers Supporters Club have handed over £2,500 to the club after raising funds in the last year towards work at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle that will help the team prepare for matches.
At the CTSC tenth anniversary dinner head coach Daryl Powell asked members if they could raise funds to help convert the old gym into a wrestle room and they responded by coming up with the amount asked for, which is £2,500.
A presentation of the money was made to Luke Gale, Mike McMeeken and Steve Gill at the Christmas fun evening. They are pictured above with members of the CTSC, which has now over 10 years raised and donated £60,397.58 to the club.
Last year the supporters club achieved 500 members and is looking to top that number in 2015.
Membership is now available and can be bought at any of the monthly events or in the Tiger bar at the Featherstone, Bradford, York and Widnes pre-season games. A PayPal account is also being set up with postage available, more details to follow.
Events planned for next year include a meet the coaches evening in February, meet the directors evening in March, a race night in April and an evening with Andy Lynch in aid of his testimonial in May.
