CASTLEFORD Tigers prop Jake Emmitt (pictured) has withdrawn from Wales’ Four Nations squad due to injury.

Emittt suffered a season-ending knee injury at Wigan in July and has now been told he will not be fit to play again until mid-December.

Former St Helens player Emmitt said: “It’s a real shame. I’ve been hoping that I’d recover in time to give myself a chance of playing in the Four Nations. It would have been a dream to face the Kiwis at Wembley and to play for Wales again.

“But it is not to be for me this year. I won’t be able to do full training until December so now all of my focus is on getting back to my best for Cas at the start of next season.”

Featherstone Rovers prop Ross Divorty has been selected for the Wales train-on squad for this autumn’s Gillette Four Nations where they will take on England, Australia and New Zealand.
