CASTLEFORD firm CBR Engineering has defied the global recession to increase their sponsorship of the town’s Super League club.
The engineering firm, which provides a design and manufacturing service to the power and chemical industries at its site on Albion Street, are long-term sponsors of Castleford Tigers and for the first time in 2013 their logo will feature on the chests of Tigers first team shirts.
On increasing the sponsorship of the club, Steve Vause, managing director, CBR Engineering said: “CBR Engineering has been a constant fixture in Castleford for many, many years. The company has a proud history of employing local people, while in its business throughout the UK and abroad, putting Castleford on the map both nationally and internationally. These values can also be applied to Castleford Tigers.”
Tigers’ commercial manager Nick Fozzard added: “We are extremely grateful to Steve and Ian Allatt (technical director) at CBR Engineering for their continued support.
“To increase their sponsorship of the club at this time of economic hardship is a fantastic boost.
“Personally, I’m really proud of this deal. This is my first signing since I’ve been at Castleford. CBR are a great company with great people and I’m really looking forward to further strengthening this relationship over the next year by ensuring CBR get the most out of all the benefits of a major partnership with the club.”
