Castleford Tigers look set for another short turnaround after it has been confirmed that they have been chosen for another Thursday live game on Sky in July.

The Tigers’ away game against Widnes Vikings was due to be played on Friday, July 4, but has been brought forward a day and will now be staged at the Select Security Stadium on Thursday, July 3 with an 8pm kick-off.

It will be Castleford’s third televised Thursday night game of the season as they have already played London Broncos and Leeds Rhinos and they have a fourth scheduled also when they are due to play their return with the Rhinos at Headingley on Thursday, July 17.

They will have more preparation time for the Headingley visit as the previous game at home to Huddersfield Giants has been brought forward two days to Friday, July 11, but as it currently stands the Tigers are due to host Salford Red Devils just four days before their trip to Widnes.
