NINETEEN-year-old centre Ryan Shaw will make his Castleford debut in Friday’s home pre-season game against Huddersfield Giants.

Shaw, who has joined the Tigers in a month’s loan from Warrington Wolves, has been named on the bench in a Tigers line-up which sees the return of winger Kirk Dixon and forward Jake Emmitt after long injury lay-offs.

Dixon (pictured) required a shoulder reconstruction after he was injured in the Carmegie Challenge Cup semi-final against Leeds Rhinos in August and Emmitt has not played since he injured a knee last July.

Castleford’s 22-man squad includes 18 first-team squad members including Rangi Chase and captain Danny Orr.

New signing Josh Griffin retains his place at centre after scoring two tries in the Boxing Day win against Bradford.

Academy player Josh Atkinson, who has been training with the first-team, is also included in the squad after bagging two tries against Bradford.

Ryan Hudson starts at hooker after missing the Bradford match because of a head injury.

Richard Owen is included among the substitutes but he faces a fitness test on a back injury that ruled him out of the Boxing Day match.

If Owen plays against Huddersfield, it will be his first appearance since he was sanctioned for a breach of club discipline.

Castleford’s team on Friday is McGoldrick, Clare, Griffin, Arundel, Dixon, Chase, Orr, Nash, Hudson, Massey, Holmes, Snitch, Jones. Substitutes: Mitchell, Emmitt, Shaw, Davies, Atkinson, Thompson, Owen, Milner, Clark.
