Castleford’s former New Zealand international Jake Webster will be sidelined for several weeks after sustaining a groin tear during Sunday’s Super League game at Salford City Reds.
The centre or second-rower recently made his comeback after being out for 12 months with a knee injury.
Tigers coach Daryl Powell said: “Jake will be out for a few weeks.
“It’s unfortunate. He was looking all right and was pretty strong.”
Castleford’s Ryan Boyle and Ashley Gibson are both poised to start their comebacks after knee injuries tomorrow night when they play for partner club York City Knights.
