Powerful forward Mitch Clark has returned to Featherstone Rovers following a short spell back with parent club Castleford Tigers.

Clark, 25, first joined Rovers in January and has put pen to paper on a loan agreement which will see him stay with Featherstone for the foreseeable future.

The front-rower, who has scored two tries in seven Featherstone appearances, can be recalled by the Tigers following an initial 28-day period – at 24 hours’ notice.

Clark, who is sponsored by Peppino, said: “I really enjoyed my initial spell with Featherstone and am looking forward to kicking on and showing what I can do as a Rovers player.

“The added game-time will be good for me and it is a privilege to be playing with a fantastic set of players - at a top Championship club.

“Featherstone are aiming high this year and I know the boys want to achieve something special.”

On the decision to let Clark join Rovers again, Castleford Tigers head coach Daryl Powell said: “Mitch Clark’s been playing well at Featherstone.

“We’re deep in our pack options. James Green played well at Halifax last week as did Will Maher and Brandon Douglas.

“Mitch will be an option for us later in the season.”
