The former St Helens player missed last weekend's opening-day win over Warrington Wolves through injury.

Gareth O'Brien was knocked out in that match and forced to leave the field in the first half. He will be sidelined tomorrow in line with concussion protocols.

Head coach Daryl Powell revealed that Jacques O'Neill is also suffering from an oblique issue, and will miss the derby match which is to be played in St Helens.

"There is no Gaz O'Brien and Jacques O'Neill is out as well, so there will be a couple of changes in the 17," said Powell.

"Apart from that we are pretty much the same as we were.

"Danny will play. Gaz O'Brien unfortunately got knocked out last week. That forced us into a bit of a reshuffle.

"I thought the boys handled that well but Danny will come back in this week."

Powell is unsure how long O'Neill will be out of action, with the Tigers player set to learn more about the injury later today.

"I am not sure how long he will be out for, he has got a scan later today," added Powell.

"He has got a little bit of an oblique problem. He will get a scan and then we will have a better idea of how long he is going to be."
