“We have tried to add as much as we can,” Webster said of Rovers’ 2020 roster. “Everyone has talked about how we have signed well, which we have.

“We have lost Cameron King and Josh Walters and Brad Day is out for most of the year; they were influential players for the side last year, but the likes of Brett Ferres, Dale Ferguson, Craig Hall and Dean Parata can add just as much. We are in a similar shape to last year and are looking forward to rolling our sleeves up and getting out there.”

Webster has yet to learn which Rhinos players will be made available on dual-registration. He added: “We will see how we go with the Leeds situation. That will dictate more than anything how we are. I can’t see too many people being available on the market, but if there is someone who is decent we will always have a look.”

Rovers visit Webster’s former club Hull KR tomorrow for their third pre-season game (2pm). Webster said: “We want a good hit-out with no injuries. It’ll be good to try and get some time as a team and hopefully we will have a bit of a stronger side out. We understand it is going to be a massive challenge for us against a strong, established Super League club.”
